ABOUT VESPER

We are hobby breeders dedicated to the care and preservation of the Pomeranian breed.

About US

We have been actively involved in the specialized care and management of toy breeds since 2005, with a particular emphasis on Pomeranians. Our focus has been on maintaining and adhering to their specific breed standards. By 2018, we had further honed our expertise, culminating in our conformation show debut in 2024 and onwards.

As members of the American Kennel Club (AKC), we strive to improve the Pomeranian breed and uphold our dogs to that of the AKC’s standards as outlined by the American Pomeranian Club (APC). Our program seeks to maintain a high level of excellence in areas of conformation—movement, soundness, structure, temperament, and type.

Our Pomeranians are tested with Embark© DNA genetic panel and breed-specific Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) examinations, reinforcing our commitment to producing not only show-worthy dogs but also loving and loyal companions.

We are a small family of hobby breeders residing in Los Angeles, California. Our dogs actively participate in the competitive showing in AKC conformation events. Our award-winning Pomeranians boast prestigious, championed bloodlines—each pedigree is meticulously researched, with bloodlines conscientiously sourced from various regions around the world.

With each litter’s purpose to be well within the established written conformation show standard, we understand that there are also various interpretations of each feature listed within the standard. We prefer our dogs to have a distinct look about them that sets them apart from others. Our vision includes, but is not limited to, the following characteristics: small and proportionate faces—taking into consideration the sizes of their eyes, nose, mouth, and tongues; sparse whiskers; an expression reminiscent of a fox that does not lose its essence to that of an extreme brachycephalic face; paws that are notably thicker and larger in size; positioned high up on strong pasterns; and maintaining a compact overall stature.

Our color spectrum is primarily localized to black, black & tan, and orange. The Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) recognizes and allows for these dominant colors to be showcased in conformation events, forming the essential building blocks for a formidable foundation of quality in breed standards.

Each litter is thoughtfully planned with intention and purpose. As a preservation-focused breeding program, we are not driven by profit, but by the pursuit of excellence in conformation and the advancement of the breed. Our primary goal is to produce our next show prospect; select puppies may be placed in approved companion homes or with fellow ethical exhibitors. We do not and will never associate with backyard breeders or those who seek to exploit animals for commercial gain.
